Ink: A Responsive Email Framework from ZURB

This doesn’t look to bad from ZURB, and could help in the endless headache that is email client rendering, and now with the introduction of responsive email templates across all those pesky clients (Outlook I’m talking about you!) and devices the task has magnified.

I’ve tried ZURB Foundation before as a responsive grid system but I opted for bootstrap as a framework but Ink seems like it might be a good place to start. I’ll be experimenting soon with email templates so I’ll post any findings or alternate solutions if I find anything of interest.

Also ZURB is offering an inlining tool to move all your style tags you use during editing to be inline styles to keep those pesky email clients happy. I’ve used the one provided by mailchimp in the past that worked well.

Bootstrap Filestyle

I’ve used this one myself to replace the generic file upload form element.

Dash – Documentation Browser, Snippet Manager

I’ve recently started using Dash so I have docs access offline.

I love the fact it updates docsets in the background and it has great search functionality. Not to mention snippets management as well.

Oh and you can also get a package for Sublime Text 2 that will integrate with Dash so simply highlighting some code and pressing control + alt + h and boom you’ve got the doc based on the language you currently have loaded in ST2.

Conway’s law

Don’t know why I hadn’t heard of this before but it’s a fantastic summation of producing interfaces between system modules.

Thinking about it I’ve experienced similar issues when trying to interface as an external solutions provider trying to integrate into the existing systems of a company. The interfaces that exist largely bear the scars of internal politics and structure and on most counts have been a messy affair to deal with.

Facebook ad profit a staggering 1,790% more on iPhone than Android

The fact that iOS ads perform better than Android is not surprising but the magnitude of the distance is shocking.

The fact that Android ads are actually showing a negative return will probably only continue to re-enforce the gap.
